11/20/2023 0 Comments Next step mcat half length![]() ![]() Brought cold brew (store bought, ended up tasting nasty af, much regret), chocolates, lara bars. Made myself eat as much of my healthy lunch as possible. At max would look over basic equations and amino acid structures. 2 days before the test stopped hard studying. Actually did 200 cards from Milesdown (which was still very helpful). Tell yourself you'll do 100 cards a day until day of test. Realize P/S is dragging other scores down. Compared to Nextstep, C/P felt like that moment in naruto when rock lee takes off his ankle weights.ĪAMC 1: 514, AAMC 2: 513, AAMC Sample: 513, AAMC 4: 514 P/S took a severe beating since UEARTH tends to ask one type of P/S questions, which AAMC didn't. Compared to UEARTH or NS, took a bit of a setback in CARS due to the change to AAMC logic, but was mostly ok. Did a AAMC test either every week or every 4-5 days to finish all before the test. plan out AAMC down to how many questions I would do a day to finish on time. Also realized I needed to actually memorize the physics equations LOL. ![]() Started Anki but had difficulty keeping to it. Also used JW passages for CARS but stopped pretty fast because their logic was confusing for no reason. Memorized the amino acids and wrote down the metabolism pathways but didn't hard memorize them. If I got the question wrong the explanations were more than sufficient and then some. Completely stopped using my Kaplan books. Literally all I did was do UEARTH problems. Did my first diagnostic (and it was only the NS half length) and got absolutely wrecked because the MCAT yes, it is content heavy - but it is a very specific content and also a lot of reading a logic that I did not prepare myself for Not that going through the books were particularly hard, I had pretty comprehensive/rigorous undergrad courses, but it was a month long slog. read all of kaplan, took highly condensed notes (like 2-3 pages per book)ĭespite being told repeatedly otherwise, I thought that if I took the time to really understand the content it would carry me.Seriously apply for AAMC's fin aid if u are eligible, it saves u money everywhere (not not nearly enough sobs).Milesdown Anki deck and quicksheets -> also tried ortho 528 and cubene but couldn't stick with it.Nextstep - never did NS4 so if anyone wants to buy it for some nominally cheap price dm me.UEARTH - the best explanations/tables/drawings hands down (mine expires 10/3 and so if anyone wants to try it, especially if u have financial hardship pls dm me).AAMC Official Pack - googled any confusing questions on this sub./r/GAMSAT - Australian & UK Medical school Admission Test.P/S = Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior (Tentative) AAMC Sample FL Score ConversionĬ/P = Chemical and Physical Foundations of Biological SystemsĬARS = Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skillsī/B = Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems # Correct -> Scaled Score Converter for AAMC Material These posts will be removed and the user banned without warning, subject to the discretion of the mod team Learn MoreĪll of the above rules are subject to moderator discretion High Yield MCAT Links You have signed an examinee agreement, and it will be enforced on this subreddit.ĭo not intentionally advertise paid or free products or services of any sort.
